Another great bootcamp with Jazzy at Fit Factory!

What was your best Halloween costume?
My college roommate and I used to watch Scrubs on Comedy Central every single day after class. That year I went as Turk (I had a buzz cut at the time so it worked out) and he was JD.
If you could trade places with anyone in the world, who would it be?
There’s a guy named Fergal Murray who is the head brewmaster for Guinness. He spends his days hosting “Perfect Pint” Competitions and ‘testing’ everything they produce at the Guinness Factory in Dublin. I’d take over his spot any day.
What is the best thing about your move from Boston back to NY (besides working for Axial)?
Definitely the food. I love Boston, but it’s no contest. I could eat lunch somewhere new every day around our office and always have a great meal.
What is your favorite lunch spot around HQ?
Dos Toros! I love a good quesadilla, and Dos Toros’ are the best I’ve had since I moved back to NY.
If you could leave on an international trip tomorrow, where would you go?
My sister is a teacher and has been traveling all over the world with her family for the past 5 years. She lives in Cyprus now and the view of the mountains from her apartment looks like something out of a magazine. She just had a baby girl in June so I’m definitely trying to get out there and visit as soon as I can.
What is your favorite project that you’ve completed at Axial?
I’d have to say my biggest project to date has been the Axial Valuation Tool that is going out this week. It’s a really interesting idea and had me working with people from all over the company. Seeing it go live was incredibly exciting.
Describe your role in 7 words.
I help investors find companies to buy.
What is your favorite Axial memory?
Singing the National Anthem at Steak Night, celebrating the surpassing of our revenue goals. I stood up and performed a solo rendition of the Anthem, followed by a full participatory effort towards the end with Axialites standing with hands on hearts. It was quite a scene.
What would your perfect meal consist of?
A very cheesy dish, maybe a pasta primavera or penne vodka, followed by a hot, chocolate-rich dessert with vanilla ice cream. A nice glass of red wine only adds to the perfection.
What is your go-to song?
“You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groban. The song is short enough to perform so not to lose the attention of a small audience, yet has a large enough range to demonstrate vocal power and flexibility.
What are you currently reading?
Spin Selling. It demonstrates how to allow a prospect to realize what they are not satisfied with, giving the prospect a chance to sell themselves, telling you why your service is valuable for them. No one likes to be sold. Everyone loves to buy.
If you could be on any TV show, what would be it?
America’s Got Talent. I actually tried out for a few shows in the past, including American Idol, The X Factor and America’s Got Talent. I made it on TV during my American Idol audition, but not far enough to be fully recognized. America’s Got Talent is clearly a more open-minded show, focusing on a variety of unique talents.
Can we see a clip of you singing?
You Raise Me Up - Charles Muhlbauer
